Face Tonic, 120ml

Our Face Tonics offer a dose of hydration and freshness to the delicate skin on your face or anywhere else on your body. Use it as a toner after cleansing with our Facial Oil Cleanser and Makeup Remover (or your favourite cleanser) and before applying our Youthful Glow Face Serum, Calendula Oil, or one of our tallow face creams.

The light natural scent of hydrosols make our Face Tonics a perfect complement to your skincare routine. We currently offer three lovely options: Lavender, Rose, and Roman Chamomile, to suit your unique preference. In addition to the differences in scent, they each offer unique benefits:

• Lavender hydrosol is calming both to the body and mind; it may help you unwind and gently soothe skin irritation
• Rose hydrosol has the potential to rejuvenate tired skin and is wonderfully refreshing for all skin types
• Roman Chamomile hydrosol has the mildest scent of the three and is perfect for someone prone to breakouts, redness, or allergic reactions of the skin; it tames inflammation like a champion 

On busy days when proper face cleansing may be out of the question, another way to use our one of our Face Tonics is to saturate a cotton pad/ball with the product and gently wipe the skin of the face and neck area. This will remove some impurities and make you feel refreshed. Follow up with our Youthful Glow Serum, Calendula Oil, or one of our tallow face creams. 

What is a hydrosol, you might wonder. A hydrosol is a product of steam distillation in the production of essential oils. It offers a much milder version of the scent of a corresponding essential oil and can be used undiluted topically. A hydrosol's benefits are often similar to those of the essential oils.  Please note, a hydrosol is NOT a mix of water and an essential oil. So, even if you are sensitive to essential oils, it is unlikely that you would have a reaction to a hydrosol unless you have an allergy or sensitivity to the plant from which it is produced. Still, we recommend patch testing any new product to ensure that there is no allergic reaction.
