Facial Oil Cleanser and Makeup Remover

It is a misconception that to cleanse, we must use soap. In fact, stripping the delicate face skin by using soap-based cleansers contributes to overproduction of oils. Our cleanser stops the vicious cycle of oily and acne-prone skin and is equally beneficial to those who tend to have dry skin. Cleansing with oils is not new, but this practice has been largely discarded (mistakenly, in our opinion!). 

Here is how to cleanse your face with our oil cleanser for a luscious spa-like experience:

• Rinse your face with water
• Shake the bottle well and pump the desired amount of oil into the palm of your hand
• Apply all over your face and gently massage in with your fingertips for a minute or two
• Run very warm water over a clean washcloth or a piece of unbleached muslin cloth; apply the washcloth to the whole face to allow the steam to open up the pores; keep it over your face for 30-45 seconds. This is where the magic happens: the pores open up and the applied oil lifts the impurities WITHOUT stripping the skin!
• Gently wipe off using the same washcloth, rinse it and repeat as many times as needed until you feel that the cleansing oils are removed and your face feels clean and smooth (usually once or twice is enough to accomplish that).

Here is how to use this product as an eye makeup remover:

Wet a washcloth or a cotton ball/pad with running water, wring it out, and pump some oil cleanser onto it. Gently wipe the eye area until clear of makeup. Repeat the process for the other eye. Follow this with the whole face oil cleansing as described above. 

NOTE: We opted to keep our Facial Oil Cleanser and Makeup Remover unscented, to reduce the risk of irritation when it is used as an eye makeup remover. If you wish, you can add your favourite essential oils to the bottle and give it a really good shake before using.
