Our Muscle and Joint Salve can help with muscle and joint discomfort as well as bruises or sprains. This formula is a blend of powerful plant allies with anti-inflammatory properties. Arnica flowers, comfrey root and leaves, stinging nettles, and goldenrod are infused into avocado oil for many weeks to create a most wonderful formula. A custom blend of essential oils amplifies the effect of the herbs.

Ingredients

Avocado oil, Arnica montana (arnica) flowers, Symphytum officinale (comfrey leaf and root)*, Urtica dioica (stinging nettle) leaf*, Solidago canadensis (goldenrod) flowering tops*, local Canadian beeswax, peppermint essential oil, eucalyptus essential oil, lavender essential oil, rosemary essential oil, clove essential oil, lemongrass essential oil

How to Use

Apply on clean skin 2-3 times per day as needed. Use clean and dry hands to scoop the product from the container.

Note: This salve would offer the most benefit when applied with heat (such as a heating pad) or after a long warm shower. Keep the areas that you are applying the salve to warm (either the heating pad or under the blankets should do).

Do not use on open wounds.

Patch test on a small area to ensure there is no allergic reaction

How to Store Your Salve

  • Because we do not use preservatives in our salves, care must be taken to avoid introducing any moisture into the product. To extend shelf life and avoid contamination, use clean and dry hands or a small spatula to scoop the product from the jar.
  • We recommend storing the product away from heat or direct sunlight to prevent melting. In case it melts, simply let it solidify again at room temperature.

Stored at room temperature, our salves will keep for a year or longer.
