Tallow Beard Balm is the newest addition to our family of tallow products. A careful selection of oils that complement tallow in this balm, have been chosen due to their ability to nourish and condition hair AND skin. As such, this balm can be used as a facial moisturizer as well as a beard balm. The formulation includes the skin and hair loving argan oil and black seed oil; rosehip oil is a gentle healing skin oil that many bearded men appreciate in their face care products for its skin-soothing and calming ability.

Scented with the essential oils of Himalayan cedarwood, rosemary, and vetiver, this balm adds a masculine touch to any man's selfcare routine. Himalayan cedarwood is known for its potential to help with dandruff and hair loss and it is grounding and restorative for the stressed-out mind. Rosemary is often used for hair loss and acne. Vetiver tames down inflamed skin and is sought after by those with high stress and burnout.

As with any tallow products, less is more. Start with less than you think you might need and increase the amount of the product you use as needed. Please always use clean, dry hands or a small spatula to scoop the balm out of the jar.

Ingredients

Locally sourced 100% grass-fed beef tallow, argan oil, black seed oil, rosehip oil*, essential oils of Himalayan cedarwood, rosemary, and vetiver.

How to Use

Scoop a small amount with your clean, dry fingers or a small spatula. Rub the balm between your hands to soften and melt it. Then apply onto the skin at the hair root level. Using a fine comb, brush the beard from the roots up to evenly spread the balm. Add more and brush it throughout if needed.

Before using, patch test on a small area to ensure that there is no allergic reaction.

How to Store Your Tallow Skin Care

  • Because we do not use preservatives in our tallow products, care must be taken to avoid introducing any moisture into the product. To extend shelf life and avoid contamination, use clean and dry hands or a small spatula to scoop the product from the jar.
  • We recommend storing the product away from heat or direct sunlight to prevent melting. In case it melts, simply let it solidify again at room temperature. The whipped texture will turn to a salve consistency, but this does not affect the quality or usability of tallow products. We do not recommend storing our whipped tallow products in the bathroom as the frequent changes in temperature and humidity can deflate the whip and potentially introduce moisture into the container.
  • To extend shelf life, our tallow balms can be refrigerated. This, however, can result in a gritty texture, which is harmless and disappears when tallow touches your skin. This is not a product defect; this is the way an unadulterated natural substance (tallow) reacts to temperature changes.

If stored at room temperature, our tallow products are best used within 6 months of purchase.
